PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course
PADI IDC staff instructor are an integral part of the PADI Instructor development Course (IDC) process. This course is designed to provide you (PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers with the additional training necessary to staff PADI instructor development programs.
This program builds upon your experience and abilities as a dive educator while concentrating on developing evaluation and counseling skills. Through independent study, classroom sessions, guided evaluation training and an internship, you’ll learn to teach the PADI assistant instructor program and assist with instructor development programs.
The course involves 1/2 days theory and practical training with Course Director Jeff Glenn, where you’ll learn the evaluation process and perfect your teaching skills. You’ll then audit an entire IDC practicing the evaluation techniques in Knowledge Development, Confined Water and Open water Presentations. With Course Director Jeff Glenn at your side, you’ll also fine-tune your ability to positively critique an Instructor candidate’s presentation.
Upon completion of this IDC, you, as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor are certified to Teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses and assist in instructor-level training. As an IDC Staff Instructor, you can now offer your employers another option in driving their business forward, increasing your own potential earnings along the way.
