Where is Go Pro Asia
Koh Tao is situated in the calm waters of the Gulf of Thailand roughly 60 kilometres north of Koh Samui, and about 50 kilometres west of the mainland port town of Chumphon.
Koh Tao’s history began in the 1950’s as a detention centre for political prisoners but now, with it’s spectacular views of white sandy beaches and secluded coves and bays, is a destination for people looking for a life in the tropics.
Koh Tao’s reputation as a haven for scuba diving has been built on the high quality of awardwinning instruction and Diving facilities available on this island paradise.
Surrounded by warm, clear tropical waters nearly year round, and over 30 dive sites within 30 mins of our dive facilities on Sairee Beach, Koh Tao has become the perfect choice for those wishing to further their Dive education.
With the Gulf of Thailand being a major shipping route for hundreds of years, Koh Tao is also perfectly positioned as the starting point for our wreck expeditions for those Tech minded divers who’d like to dive wooden Chinese pottery wrecks, WW2 ships, airplanes and long lost US Naval submarines.
Koh Tao also has a fine reputation for it’s social life with some great restaurants serving both International and local cuisine, a vibrant bar scene with world class DJ’s and Live Music on at different venues along Sairee Beach, great shopping and a multitude of activities from rock climbing to Muay Thai fight nights to keep you entertained thru your stay here.
